  3. Three days of ‘camel at their best’ at the Bikaner fest…camel show & show-off… hoofs & humps...dance & thumps marks the time when we salute this friend of the unfriendly terrain!!! An annual festival in honor of the Camels, 'Ship of the Desert', organized by the Department of Tourism, Art and Culture, in Bikaner. Considering the role and significance of camels on Rajasthan's vast unfriendly terrain, since the beginning of the desert civilization, it is certainly a rightful attempt.

  5. Covered 245 countries, 7 continents, in 6 years, 6 months and 22 days. Literally, Music prevailing all boundaries and that too in record time.

Benny Prasad, the footloose solo guitarist, is the globe trotter from Bangalore, India, who did the above. If the above isn't enough for a record the following will be:
    1. Benny's Total expenditure for the record tour had been under USD 140, 000
    2. His Total extra expenditure on bribes had been USD 0.00000 . Detained and sent back many a times but the determined miser didn't line the corrupt pockets.
    3. His modified guitar with harp and bongo added on is his unique contribution to the music world. World's First Guitar with Drums is called as 'BENTAR' perhaps a blend of BENny + guiTAR.
    4. He performed on Bentar to events such as the Olympic Games-2004, Fifa World Cup-2006, Military World Games-2007.
    5. Already included in the Limca Book of records as the most traveled Indian musician

  6. Arms-crossed crossed. The Move was Long Due.

Six Northeastern States viz. Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland are now offering permit-less entry. ** However, All foreigners visiting these states will have to register themselves with Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) of the district they visit within 24 hours of their arrival. The district superintendent of police will be the foreigners registration officers.
Now, only Pak and China nationals need special permits to visit NE [source: TOI]
Foreigners, excluding Pakistani and Chinese, visiting India on valid visa will not have to take a special permit to travel to Manipur, Mizoram and Nagaland from January 1 as the govt has scrapped the provision to boost tourism.
Arunachal Pradesh, however, still stays out of this relief in restrictions.
The above permit-less entry to the three newly added states is initially kept for the first one year, that is, 2011.
